Nutty aroma, a sweet and balanced cup and a candied pear aftertaste.
The aroma is reminiscent of nuts. The flavor is rich and full, with hints of fruit and enveloping sweetness. The cup is balanced, and the acidity is almost absent. The full body is enriched with a persistent aftertaste with notes of candied pear.
This type of Brazil is produced in the Sud de Minas area, the southern part of the Minas Gerais state, and it comes from selected exporters, chosen to satisfy the quality of the product. The cultivations are at 700-1.300 m a.s.l. The coffee is hand or machine picked between May and September, while the exportation starts in July/August. To respect high quality standards, the Dona Francisca is embarked at origin no earlier than October, when the new crop has reached the perfect maturation point and has lost any green flavour.
